Wild Beach Assistant
Do you have a passion for the marine environment, and want to pass that onto the young minds of Sussex? Become a Wild Beach Assistant! Volunteer your time at Wild Beach sessions all along the Sussex coast.
Do you have a passion for the marine environment, and want to pass that onto the young minds of Sussex? Become a Wild Beach Assistant! Volunteer your time at Wild Beach sessions all along the Sussex coast.
You will be assisting the Wild Coast Sussex Communities and Wildlife Officer to deliver Wild Beach to primary school children. Activities include rockpooling, beach cleans, shelter building, beach art and much more.
Citizen Science Champion
Find, identify and record shark and skate egg cases along the Sussex Coast and help us to promote this important Citizen Science project. What is Citizen Science? Scientific research carried out by non-professional scientists. The data goes to The Shark Trust and helps to inform shark and skate conservation. They already have over 300,000 egg case records from around the World! No experience necessary, training provided.
Beach Clean Champion
Take part in organised beach cleans or do your own self-led beach cleans and litter surveys. Recording litter helps gather evidence to campaign for change. The data goes to the Marine Conservation Society. No experience necessary, training provided.
Wild Coast Sussex Champion
Help to spread the word about Wild Coast Sussex. Whether it’s an Instagram Story from your local beach or giving a talk about local marine Wildlife.
